Spore Test Biological Indicator (Class 5)
Overview
NCA Bio-Spore Indicator
The NCA Bio-Spore indicators are self-contained with the Geo-Bacillus Stearother-mophilus spore population D-Value of 10-6. Confirming to AAMI Ref: ISO11140-1, ISO17665-1 & ISO11138 . Traditionally spore testing is run with a strip or a single vial, either weekly or fortnightly in the chamber. This method is scientifically flawed. The main reason is because of the lack of challenge the spore population is undergoing. Coupled with the NCA Sterilization Process Validation Challenge Device (PCD), the Bio-Spore vials are placed into the device and then into the chamber to greater the physical challenges of hollow lumens such as dental handpieces. This ensures the practice that sufficient sterility assurance has been carried out on instruments.
The Vials are then validated onsite with the NCA Bio-Check Incubator. This can be done by either the dental nurses or the dentist themselves. The incubator processes the spore vials for 12-24 hours by attempting to grow the spores in the vial. Once the incubator has completed its cycle, the results of the spores are color coded, indicating either a PASS or Fail (positive or negative growth result).

Coupled with the Quattro Indicator on each cycle, the Bio-Spore and Bio-Check Incubator is the ultimate confirmatory validated system for each practice, ensuring a strong and sound sterility process.
Made in Australia and validated by NCA Laboratories.
